Bookplate

We are sure you have seen or have books that have been signed by the author. Inside on likely the first page is a bookplate and a signature. It could be their name to you, someone else or just your book, showing it belongs to you. It probably has your return address. But a bookplate would look similar to the image showing here.

Why Would you want one of these?

• You bought your book elsewhere. Amazon, B&N, Lulu, a shop, from a friend. They will not ship the book back to you with the author’s signature.
• You own more than one edition. Paperback, hardcover, a copy you mark up. One plate per copy, or one plate in the “keeper,” the one you keep on the shelf and do not mark up or lend.
• No waiting. You want the author’s name in a your book without having to stand in line or send it to the author and wait for them to send it back signed. Too much time and too much needless expesne.
• Gifts. You want to gift the book to someone else without waiting it and the bookplate to show up and hoping it is on time.
• Collectors. Some take it because the signature stays. Ink on a plate does not rub off and does not fall out. That copy is the signed one. Same title everywhere else, . but this is valued more.
• The book is already worn in. Most will not buy a second copy just for a title page. They will stick a plate in the one they love.
• Distance and risk. No “will my only copy get lost in the mail.” Plate goes in an envelope. Everyone will know this is your book.
• You didn’t miss out on the launch date. After this, you already purchased. The plate is the after-the-fact signature.
• Libraries / clubs / teachers sometimes want a signed association copy they did not order from the author.

Signed bookplate:

The bookplate is made to order and mailed to you. You put it in the book. That is the whole point: your copy, already on your shelf, gets the signature without the book going through the mail or you showing up and waiting inline.

What you receive is signed in ink. The picture on this page is only to show what a bookplate is. Yours will not match it. That is intentional. Oh no, your’s will be special and unique, one-of-a-kind and customized becaquse that is what you are, an Apple of Gold

And this includes a unique note card with special illustration, hand stamped, hand signed and sealed with a wax seal.
